Terrance Lee Russ, 71, a resident of Pelican Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Terry’s journey began on January 13, 1947 in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, to Louise (Clauson) and Earl Russ. He grew up on the Clauson farm where he learned to work hard, ride his horse, fix old cars, and appreciate family. He and Kathy Engebretson were married on December 14, 1968. They were blessed with daughter Michelle (Matt), son Mike (Mary), and four grandchildren, Lauren, Lexy, Levi, and Sydney, all who brought him great delight. Terry worked in the building industry for fifty years. He could fix anything, and always did his very best to make sure those he partnered with were pleased with the outcome. He had an endless amount of energy, especially when he was on a mission! He could often be found organizing and working on a project in his garage. Terry enjoyed visiting with and helping people, restoring old Jeeps, volunteering at Camp Joy, and watching the sunrise over the lake with Kathy and a cup of coffee. He was always ready with a witty comment or a good story. He loved Jesus and his family more than anything. A private memorial service was held on Saturday, September 15, at the Jehovah House on the farm where he grew up. He is missed already. Please keep the Russ family in our thoughts and prayers.
