Rhoda Pearl (Allen) Johnson, age 89, of Pelican Rapids, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Riverfront on Main under the care of their staff and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Rhoda Pearl was born April 22, 1931 in Pelican Rapids, MN, to Herbert and Lena (Rud) Allen. She attended country school by Star Lake and Pelican Rapids High School. In 1948 Rhoda was united in marriage with Robert Dillon in Sisseton, SD. Rhoda worked as a bookkeeper for Dillon’s Electric for many years and raised 5 children. In 1971 she married Everett Johnson in Pelican Rapids. Rhoda worked at Johnson Furniture Store for many years until retirement, she especially enjoyed working in the gift shop. Rhoda was a life-time member of Faith Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School, Luther League, Confirmation, sang in the choir, and served on the church council. She enjoyed bowling, water skiing, sewing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and spending time at the lake. One of her greatest joys was to spend time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons: James (Lynnette) Dillon, Thomas (MaryJo) Dillon; daughters: Carol (Larry) Dillon, Kathryn (Scott) Dillon, Nancy (Tom) Soberg, step-children: Lucille Jonason, Linda (Bob) Toso, Dennis Johnson, David (Diane) Johnson, Jeff (Kathy) Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; sister Aneta (Tracy) Gapp; brother-in-law Richard Rollie. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Everett, brother Lewis Allen, brother-in-law Virgil, sisters-in-law: Verona Rollie, Agnes Johnson and Lois Allen. Visitation: Monday, October 26, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
