Patti Sonmor

Patti A. Sonmor, 77, died November 11, 2023, at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota with her loving family by her side.

Patti was born July 30, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Anksorus) Christiansen.  Patti attended school in Coon Rapids, Iowa graduating in 1964.  Patti served in the U.S. Army in 1964-1966.

Patti was united in marriage with Richard Sonmor on June 12, 1965, in El Paso, Texas.

They lived in Bandon, Oregon where she attended schooling for Registered Nursing at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay.  In 1979 they moved to the Nashua where they farmed.  In 1987 Patti and Richard moved to the Erhard area where they farmed and raised beef cattle.

Richard died on March 11, 2013.

She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers, watching game shows, Perry Mason, and Diagnosis Murder. She was also a huge Elvis fan.

Patti is survived by her sons: Michael Sonmor (Anita Pearson), Erhard, and Charles (Jennifer) Sonmor, Erhard; Anita’s children: T.J. Johnson, Brandon Pearson, and Jess Pochon; brother James (Joan) Christiansen, brothers-in-law: Thomas Adamson and Kurt Pickering; sisters-in-law: Linda (Bob) Studt and Verna Sonmor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2023, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard, MN

Clergy:  Pastor Brad Soenksen

Military Honors: V.F.W. Post #5252 and American Legion Post #17, Pelican Rapids, MN
