Michael James Scholl

Michael Scholl, 80, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, at the Pelican Valley Senior Living in Pelican Rapids surrounded by his family.

Michael James was born June 19, 1942, in Minneapolis, MN, son of Ruben and Sarah (Murphy) Scholl. He grew up in North Minneapolis.  He worked construction with his uncle in Minneapolis.  On February 12, 1966, he was united in marriage with Bonnie Berg in Litchfield, MN. He later worked as a pressman for Holden Printing in Minneapolis. In the 1980s he started MJM printing which he owned and operated until 2015. In 2004, Michael and Bonnie moved permanently to their home on Franklin Lake near Pelican Rapids.

Michael enjoyed fishing, working outdoors, watching Westerns, and spending time with grandson. In his younger years he was a golden glove boxer with his uncle. Michael was very proud of his Irish heritage.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Bonnie, Franklin Lake, Pelican Rapids; daughter Heather Scholl, Minneapolis; grandson Michael; sister Mary Connoy, brother-in-law Mortie (Sue) Berg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents; brother William; brothers-in-law Gary Berg and Richard Connoy.
