Box 327, Pelican Rapids, MN 56572 Marlene Evenson, 86, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota passed away peacefully on July 4, 2020, at the Pelican Senior Living in Pelican Rapids Marlene Lois (Lund) Evenson was born February 1, 1934 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Harry and Alice Lund. She graduated from Thief River High School. On February 14, 1953 Marlene married Marlan Evenson. They built a family together, built a business together, and enjoyed a 67-year marriage. Marlene worked as a nurse in the Korda Clinic. She was a bookkeeper for Marlan and office manager of Evenson Bros. Inc. from 1978-2016. In 1975 Marlan and Marlene purchased Birchwood Golf Course; they continued to help their son Brian at the golf course until the fall of 2018. Marlene enjoyed golfing, bowling, travelling in their motorhomes, playing cards, trying new recipes, and her beagles. Her greatest love was her family. No one left her home hungry, and she was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grands. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Marlene is survived by her four children: Brian (Connie) Evenson, Linda (Gene) Zsedeny, Carol (Mike) Osten, and Mike (Sandy) Evenson; grandchildren: Janelle (Nathan) Berseth, Jonah (Erin) Evenson, Andrew Evenson, Jessica (Zsedeny) Hibl, Christa (Jake Weber) Zsedeny, Riley Zsedeny, Stacie Graham, Thomas Graham, Alisha (Jer) Simones, Elizabeth Osten, Megan Osten, Brock Evenson, Tyler Evenson, and Carter Evenson; great-grandchildren: Payton Sharp, Ciara Hibl, Samuel & Elijah Osten, Bianca Berseth, Cora & Jack Evenson, Olivia & Charlotte Weber, and Jack Simones; sister Audrey Missinne; brother Barry (Peg) Bratland; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Marlan. Private family graveside service will be held at a later date and time. Burial will be at Ringsaker Cemetery near Pelican Rapids, MN.
