Lori Ann Tabery

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lori Ann Tabery, age 63, of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota died at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota. Born on April 19, 1961, to Dudley and Roseann (Erickson) Demuth in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Harvey Gerhardson was a father to Lori and helped raise her.  Lori lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of connection to her family and friends.  She went to school and graduated from Blaine High School in Blaine, Minnesota.

Lori married David Tabery on December 1, 1979, at Bluffton Catholic Church. Lori and Dave moved to Glyndon, Minnesota where Lori drove school bus for Metcalf Bus Service.  Then later moved to Pelican Rapids, Minnesota where she drove school bus for Christianson Bus Service.

Lori was a beloved wife to David Tabery, a cherished mother to Bobby Tabery and Missy Marks, and a doting grandmother to her grandson, Alex Tabery "her baby." Her infectious spirit touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Lori's passion for decorating, crocheting, and enjoying nature's beauty through activities like fishing, swimming, pulling the kids behind the boat, and camping on McDonald Lake was only surpassed by her love for her family. She was always the life of the party, the one planning the next adventure, and the first to share a laugh with those around her.  She also liked to look up recipes online to try something new. 

A true matriarch and a loving soul, Lori leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her absence will be deeply felt by her husband, children, and grandchild, as well as her extended family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Dave Tabery; her children: Bobby Tabery of Fargo, ND, and Missy (Jeremiah) Marks of Pelican Rapids; grandchild, Alex Tabery; brothers: Rick (Linda) Demuth and Jim (Patty) Gerhardson; in laws, Leo and Doris Tabery; sisters-in-law: Deb Brauch, Joan (Tom) Brauch, Nancy (Mike) Wlasiuk; brothers-in-law: Nathan (Annamarie) Tabery, Steve (Tina) Tabery, Alan Tabery, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dudley Demuth and Roseann (Erickson) Gerhardson, Harvey Gerhardson, sister Karen Gerhardson, brother-in-law Jim Brauch.

Friends and family are invited to join in remembering Lori and honoring the beautiful life she lived.  Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Larson Funeral and Cremation Service, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with Collette Barton officiating. 

In her memory, let us cherish the moments we shared with Lori, and may her spirit continue to live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known her. Rest in peace, Lori, you will be dearly missed.
