Larry Rice

Larry R. Rice passed away at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls on Sunday, November 20, 2022. 

Larry was born on June 27, 1945, in Perham, MN to Hugh and Lois (Walstrom) Rice.  He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1963. 

Larry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War; two years stateside and one year in Vietnam.  He returned home and continued to serve in the Army Reserves.  During his lifetime, he worked as maintenance and boiler engineer until he became disabled. 

He is survived by his wife Kathy, one daughter Shawna, son Jeff and wife Julie, son Justin; one grandson Andrew, five granddaughters Melissa, Paige, Darian, Tiana, and Olivia, nine great grandchildren, one brother Lee Rice, one sister Susan Moses, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Duane and Bruce. 

A private memorial service will be held in the spring.
