Larry Albright, 75, of Underwood, MN died on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at his home on Pickerel Lake. Larry Earl was born February 10, 1944, in Crookston MN to Walter and LaVonne (Pearce) Albright. In 1962 Larry graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Then Larry attended and graduated from NDSU and started at Bobcat in Gwinner, ND as a mechanical engineer where he retired after a fulfilling career. He was known as an innovative and “outside” the box thinker. He left a professional legacy with 38 patents. After his retirement, he moved to his self- designed home on Pickerel Lake, MN. On August 22, 1965 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Ardyce Nelson. He recently told a hospital pastor that he had lived a good life. It was just way too short. Larry enjoyed politics, fishing and spending time with grandchildren. Larry was also a member of El Zagal Shriners and the Masonic Lodge. He will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Ardyce; daughter Kelly (Tom) Nagel; son Erik (Eva) Albright; grandchildren: Tate Carlson, Matthew Splichal, Karmella Splichal, Steven Nagel, and Bryan Nagel; great grandchildren: Madelynn, Hannah, Noah and Isaac; sister Judith Marko, brothers: Dennis (Kay), Charles (Nanette) and Thomas; sister-in-law Patricia (Clarmont) Ulven. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother James. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019, at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with Pastor James Gronbeck officiating. Celebration of Life: Planned for Summer, 2019 at Larry and Ardyce’s home on Pickerel Lake.
