John Kroll

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Kroll. Born on November 2, 1943, in Bridger, Montana, John lived a life filled with dedication, service, and love for his family and friends. He passed away on April 22, 2024, at SMP Health-St. Catherine South in Fargo, North Dakota, at the age of 80.

He grew up in Bridger and graduated from Bridger High School in 1961.  A veteran of the Vietnam War, John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1968. Following his military service, he moved to Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, where he worked at the West Central Turkey Plant until his retirement. In addition to his career, John also devoted his time to farming.

John is survived by his loving partner Iris Nelson; daughter Melissa Milligan (Brent Blatchford), Pelican Rapids, MN; son John (Ashley) Nelson, Hawley, MN; 4 grandchildren: Matt Milligan, Nicole Milligan, Stephanie Milligan, and Taylor (Seth) Martin; 2 great-grandchildren: Darion and Skylar Zamora; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his 9 brothers and sisters

The funeral services to honor the life of John Kroll will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Larson Funeral and Cremation Service in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Lucho Palomino. We invite all who knew John to join us in celebrating his life and legacy. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Interment will be at a later date at Bridger Cemetery, Bridger, Montana
