Helen Huseby, 93, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Thursday, June10, 2021, at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Helen was born April 16, 1928, in Hunter, North Dakota the daughter of Lawrence and Freda (Motz) Senn. On January 4, 1947, she was united in marriage with Oliver Huseby in Pelican Rapids. She worked at Fair Hills Resort, West Central Turkey Plant in Pelican Rapids, Bunnels Restaurant in Detroit Lakes, Red Owl and Evans/Central Market both in Detroit Lakes. Helen retired at the age of 83. She liked going to bingo with the boys and loved working in her flower beds. They had 10 children Oliver (Ann) Huseby, Linda (Dave) Malvick, Byron (Edie) Huseby, Joseph (Catherine) Huseby, Tim (Mary) Huseby, Tony (Robin) Huseby, Duane (Carmen) Huseby, Esther (Bill) Cheatham, Melody Louks, Matt (Deb) Huseby; 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Earl (Sue) Senn, Merle Senn, Ronald (Carolyn) Senn; 2 sisters: Lucille Teigen and Fay Senn, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband (November 5, 1990), and great-grandchild Elijah Fossum, 7 siblings: Grace, Shirley, Harold, Norman, Freddie, Larry, and Kenneth. She will be forever missed. Visitation: one hour prior to the service Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at First Lutheran Church of Audubon, Audubon, Minnesota.
