Eileen Osborne

Eileen Marie (Strandlien) Osborne, age 62, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 unexpectedly at her home. Eileen was born January 24, 1957 at Pelican Valley Hospital in Pelican Rapids, MN, to Milford and Edna (Anderson) Strandlien. She attended school in Pelican Rapids, graduating from Pelican Rapids High School. Following her graduation, she attended University of Minnesota Crookston in Early Childhood Education. She worked at Spraytech in Minneapolis, MN, Pelican Supper Club, Trosvik’s Turkey Farm, The Rapids, Good Samaritan Home, and was Bill’s office manager. On March 12, 1977 Eileen married William Osborne at North Immanuel Lutheran Church. Together they raised a family of 4 children. Eileen enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, flower gardening, crossword puzzles, bird watching and photography. She was active in North Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Eileen was a great cook, loved to entertain and make Pina Coladas. She liked watching classical movies and made sure the kids know when they were on. She loved to laugh, loved getting in trouble with her cousins at Grandpa and Grandma Anderson’s when she was younger. She was always baking goodies and canned goods to give to friends and customers. Eileen is survived by her husband, Bill, of 42 years, rural Pelican Rapids; children: Shane (Danielle Hofman) Osborne, Battle Lake, MN; Erica Christianson, Fargo, ND; Jeremy Osborne, Moorhead, MN; Kelly (Andrew) Evenson, Otsego, MN; grandchildren: Peyton and Mason Christianson, Shantell Gnahn, Paxton, Owen, and Eli Osborne, Ava, Daryn, and Cameron Evenson; brothers: Steve (Sandie) Strandlien, Dale (Tammy) Strandlien; sister Lori (Wayne) Frederickson; brothers-in-law: Barry (Melissa) Osborne and John (Kristin) Osborne; sisters-in-law: Pamella (Steve) Reed, Dorathy (Oren Eide) Cusey and Serrina (Jared McKinnon) Osborne Huss; and many nieces and nephews. ­­­­She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Madison Eileen McLean, mother-in-law Lorraine Osborne Jensen, father-in-law Henry Osborne, Raymond Jensen and sister-in-law Jeanette Osborne.
