Donna Hanson, 65, passed away on June 22, 2018, surrounded by family, at The Twin Valley Living Center in Twin Valley, Minnesota. She was born on July 31, 1952 in Fargo, North Dakota to Donald and Marjorie Isaman. Donna grew up in Leonard, ND and Dilworth, MN. She graduated from Moorhead High School in Moorhead, MN in 1971. She had a variety of jobs throughout her life. She worked at Cully’s as a server/bartender, Pizza Hut as an assistant Manager, Perley Beet Piler in the scale house, Home Depot as a department associate, and at Wells Fargo as a teller. She also was a business owner in Tupperware and DJ’s café along with her husband Dennis. Donna married Dennis Hanson in 1977 at the Wild Rice Lutheran Church in Twin Valley, MN. For 16 years they lived in Borup, Minnesota and later moved to Lake Lizzie near Pelican Rapids where Donna and Dennis spent 23 years. They were happily married for 41 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, DIY projects, and attending her grandchildren’s many events. She will be forever remembered for her enjoyment of hosting family and friends so she could cook and bake for them. Donna is survived by her spouse Dennis Hanson of Barnesville, MN; her daughters Charity (Shelly) Hanson of Brooklyn Park, MN; Tanya (Chad) Hanson of Greenbush, MN; Charity Nix of Columbia, SC; Kirsten (Eric) Lyon of Pelican Rapids, MN; her brother Bob (Patricia) Isaman of University Place, WA; brother Richard (Susan) Isaman of Pelican Rapids,MN; sister Mary (John) Bosch of Reno, NV; her grandchildren Madison Schoephoerster, Levi Nix, Lexia Nix, Jayden Nelson, Alaina Lyon, Elley Lyon, Jett Nelson; and her many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Donna was preceded in death by her father Donald Isaman and mother Marjorie Isaman. A Celebration Of Life Visitation will be held at Larson Funeral Home, 304 3rd St SE, Pelican Rapids, MN 56572 at 5pm-7pm, Wednesday June 27th, 2018.
