Dale G. Toso

Dale G. Toso, age 64, of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, formerly of Emporia, KS, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Pelican Valley Senior Living, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Dale Gordon was born April 21, 1954 in Pelican Rapids, MN, to Lloyd and Shirley (Ishaug) Toso. He attended school in Pelican Rapids, graduating from Pelican Rapids High School in 1972.  On June 22, 1974 Dale married Debra Dillon at Faith Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, MN. Following his graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1974-1979. After his military duty, he moved to Emporia, Kansas where he began working as an electrician.  For 23 years, he worked as an electrician at Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant in Emporia, Kansas retiring in June 2012. Dale enjoyed Nascar racing, classic cars and trucks, gardening, Quail and Pheasant hunting, Spoonbill Snagging, angling fishing, four-wheeling, animals, music, and guitars. He took pleasure in boating and skiing at the lake.  Most of all spending time with his family and friends. Dale is survived by his wife Deb; two children: Chelsea (Cody) Toso-Fuller and Justin (Caitlin) Toso, sister Diane (Craig) Larson; half-brother Scott Irey; step-mother Gladys Toso; brothers-in-law: Kevin (Vickie) Dillon and Gary (Kris) Dillon; sisters-in-law: Tammy (Paul) Bakken and Patti (Michael Fraedrich) Dillon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd Toso and Shirley (Bob) Irey, and in-laws: Don (Marcy) Dillon.
