Beverly E. Erickson, daughter of Ernest M. and Beatrice Erickson, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died March 22, 2019 at Renown Medical Center in Reno, NV from multiple complications. She was 90 years old. Beverly was raised on her parent's farm near Pelican Lake and attended Cormorant Lutheran Church where she became the church pianist at age 12. As accomplished musicians, she and her brother, Douglas, performed in the surrounding area for churches, 4-H events, lodges and conventions beginning at age 10 and her brother 12. Singing in harmony, they performed throughout the War years, their last being for a 1948 political rally for Sen. Hubert Humphrey, held in Detroit Lakes. After graduating High School, Beverly attended 2 years of Business College in Billings, MT. She married 3 times through her life and selflessly devoted herself to the well-being of her parents and family. Beverly loved life, laughter, music, and fashion. She moved to Reno, NV in 1973 and was dedicated to her work there with H&R Block, celebrating 45 years as a tax professional, instructor and manager. She had never missed a day of work in her life since she went back to work in 1961, and worked through Monday, just 4 days before she died. Beverly is preceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Douglas Erickson of Pelican Rapids, MN and niece Cindy Lou. She is survived by her two children, Perry (Patty) Haverkamp of Hibbing, MN and their family, and Carolyn (Haverkamp) Schley of Reno, NV, along with several nieces and nephews. Her funeral is set for May 17, 2019 at Cormorant Lutheran Church. Visitation 10:00a.m., Service 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wade Dutton officiating, followed by burial at the church cemetery, and a noon meal at the church. All who knew Beverly are welcome.
