Aneta Elizabeth Dillerud, 81, of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota passed away at home on Monday, July 10, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born August 5, 1941 at Plummer, Minnesota to Frank LaFayette and Bernhardine Lohse. She graduated from Barnesville High School in Barnesville, Minnesota.
Aneta worked at many different jobs including accountant, parts control, sales, and her favorite job, church secretary. She retired in August 2016. She was involved in square dancing for several years, making all her own dresses and costumes for dancing. She also sang with Sweet Adelines.
She is a member of North Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids.
Aneta loved to travel and visited Thailand, England, Germany, Okinawa, the Philippines and Guam. In her later years, she traveled with her high school classmate Gail to the Canadian Rockies, the Black Hills, Memphis, Branson, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Idaho, Washington State and Montana. She saw most of the Western National Parks. In the 1990s, she and her husband Elwin formed A&E tours and organized 13 trips to Branson.
She is survived by her three children, Nancy (Scott) Koeneman, Samuel (Terri) Pray and Eric Pray.
She is the proud grandmother to Nicole Gray, Quinn Koeneman, Cassie (Clayton) Dierberger, Justin (Dakota) Lincoln, Ayren (Sarah) Pray, Jack Pray and Ian Pray, as well as two great-grandchildren Zayne Gray and Kai Gray.
She is survived by her sisters Carol (Jr.) Lien, Avis Kohler and sister-in-law Arlene (Larry) Wick, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Samuel A. Pray, Jr., in January 2014 and her second husband Elwin Dillerud, in January 2009, and her brother, Donald LaFayette.
Visitation: Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at North Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at North Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with Pastor Isaiah Bai officiating.
