Allie Thompson, age 19, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Allie Margret was born March 20, 2000 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Len and Emily (Aaberg) Thompson. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids. She grew up in Pelican Rapids and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 2018. She enjoyed working at the Pelican RV campground. Allie also assisted grandfather, Bob Thompson in his painting business for the past few years. Presently, Allie was a sophomore at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN studying Art Education. Allie was always involved in dance from Just for Kix, Pelican Valkyries, and SMSU Dance Team. She was extremely passionate about her dance team, and Allie loved her dance mates dearly. Allie was an amazing artist and especially loved to paint. She loved dancing and listening to artists such as: Taylor Swift, Buddy Holly, Billy Joel, and Don McLean. Allie absolutely cherished the moments spent with her brothers. She cared deeply for her friends and family, and she valued time spent with loved ones. Allie was always sensitive to everyone and her huge heart loved all. Her recent happiest times were spent in Sioux Falls with her boyfriend, Drew, and his brother, Dylan. She also loved snuggles from her cat, Vincent. The family made many trips that will always be treasured such as road trip to Colorado, Carribean cruise, trips to the cities, concert experiences and many small excursions. Allie is survived by her parents: Len and Emily (Martin) Thompson; brothers: Nick Thompson and Zane Brosowske; grandparents: Bob Thompson, Jackie McGrand, Dave and Maggie Aaberg, & Pat and Norma Martin; Aunts: Jenny (Mike) Osborne with their children Michael, Katie, Brandon, and Matt; Julie (Jeff) Rice with their children Jenna, Amanda, Kellie, and Olivia; Amy (Darren) Ebensteiner with their children Mason and Brady; and Kari Ann Thompson; boyfriend Drew; bonus brother Dylan; Godparents: Chuck and Paula Waller & Jesse and Heidi Isaman. She is preceded in death by her mother Emily (Aaberg) Thompson, Uncle Edwin Jacobson, and grandfather Phil McGrand. Allie touched so many lives, and she will be missed dearly.
