Alice Marie Schwedrsky

Alice Schwedrsky, 80, of Pelican Rapids Minnesota, died suddenly on December 3, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo North Dakota. Alice Marie Johnson was born on April 27, 1940 in Cormorant Township to Oscar and Anna (Knudtson) Johnson. She grew up in Lake Park, Minnesota where she attended grade school and high school. Alice married Russell Schwedrsky on June 13, 1959, at St. Mary’s Church in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin. They raised their four children during their 23 years of marriage. Alice and Russell owned and operated the Red Dot Bar in Mauston where Alice was known for her cooking. She spent the later years of her life with her life partner, Bud Paulson, till his passing in 2014. Alice enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her chocolate chip cookies and donuts. But most of all Alice enjoyed spending time with family and friends on the farm she shared with Bud. She is survived by her children: Lonny (Angie) Schwedrsky, T.J. (Beth) Schwedrsky, Gary (Darcy) Schwedrsky, all of Mauston, WI and Toots Nelson of Cormorant Township, MN; siblings Vivian Wittnebell, Detroit Lakes, MN; Connie (Max) Baer, Audubon, MN; Donnie Johnson, Tomah, WI; Clifford (Vicky) Johnson, Stacy, MN; Ruth (Tom) Noson, Chisholm MN; and Kitty (Jim) Nyhus, Chisholm, MN. Grandchildren: Marty (Nicole), Stephen, Tanner, Haley, Andy, Alonda, Danielle, Tara Jo (Kristoffer), Jake, Jon (Chloe). Great Grandchildren: Kali, Luke, Burke, Noah, Sawyer, and Hali. As well as many nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her life partner, Bud; her son-in-law, Jay; her Grandson, Jon; her brother, Norman; and sister’s Adeline and Lillian. Per Alice’s request, no public services will be held, a private service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Julie and Lyle Jones of Pelican Rapids for helping Alice and for being good friends.
