Menfred Tollefson

REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Menfred Allen Tollefson was born July 10, 1936, in Pelican Rapids, MN, the son of Oscar and Ebba (Swanson) Tollefson. Manny was baptized and confirmed at Maplewood Lutheran Church in rural Erhard. He attended country school District #156 South. He worked for Northstar Dairy in Fergus Falls. On October 27, 1956 Menfred married Lois Herness. He was the owner and operator of his own truck for many years. Manny also drove for Quicky Transport in Fergus Falls and Pioneer Tanks and Transport in St. Paul, MN. On May 5, 1978 he married Rebecca Sie. In 2000 Manny moved to rural Erhard, and in 2003 he and Becky were divorced. Manny enjoyed delivering minnows for Rocky?s Bait for 5 years.Manny enjoyed hunting and mounting antlers. He also enjoyed gardening and mowing lawn, woodworking and building birdhouses.Manny, age 70, a resident of rural Erhard, MN, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at his home.Menfred is survived by 3 daughters: Carol (John) Ripley, Kathy (Rocky) Norgren, and Charlene (Glenn) Fladmark, all of Erhard; a son: Mark Tollefson of Tucson, AZ; stepdaughter: Lisa; stepson: Rod (Angie); 2 brothers: Gene (Ardis) Tollefson of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Wayne (Sylvia) Tollefson of Pelican Rapids; sister: Ardell (Don Jackson) Tollefson of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 sisters-in-law: Ruby (Leonard) Kiser of Fergus Falls, MN, and Lavonne (Bob) Pendegrass of Alexandria, MN; 14 grandchildren: Jason (Amy) Hasling, Jake Sheridan, Lucus Norgren and Heather, Shaun (Cheryl) Ripley, Justin Sheridan, Christopher (Kristi) Ripley, Matt Sheridan and Megan, Matt Tollefson and Sheena, Josh Tollefson, Shane Baker, Christopher (Jessie) Nehk, Jennifer (Charles) Sonmor, Kristi (Chad) Christianson, and Josie Norgren and Jamie; 15 great-grandchildren: RaeLynn, Madalyn, Tyson, Cadynce, Jullian, Devin, Kalli, Brooklyn, Jacob, Jordan, Jaden, Brock, McKenna, Jayden, Chase; 7 step grandchildren: Randy, Samantha, Andrew, Stephine, Maxwell, Catherine, Daniela; many nieces and nephews; and his cat: Smut.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Charlotte; and a brother: Bennie.Blessed Be The Memory Of Menfred ?Manny?
