REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Ella Tenora Anderson was born June 5, 1916, to Severt A. and Alette (Jorgenson) Anderson at their farm home in Tansem Township, Clay County, Minnesota. Ella was the youngest of 11 children. Ella was baptized and confirmed at Grove Lake Lutheran Church, rural Pelican Rapids. She received her elementary education at rural school, District #14, Clay County, and then graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1934. In 1936 she attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, North Dakota, for the secretarial/bookkeeping course. She worked for a brokerage firm in Fargo until 1943. On February 6, 1943, Ella was united in marriage to Maurice C. Ness of rural Pelican Rapids. Maurice and Ella farmed in rural Pelican Rapids until they retired in 1982 and moved into Pelican Rapids. Maurice died on November 3, 1983.Ella was an active member of Grove Lake Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school and held various offices in her circle and WELCA. In 1998 she moved to the Mill Pond View Apartments in Pelican Rapids, and kept busy with Bible study, volunteer work, embroidery and reading. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.Ella, age 90, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.Ella is survived by five children: Sandra Ihle (Douglas Kelly) of Madison, Wisconsin, Marilyn (Jim) Heller of Detroit Lakes, MN, Judy (Ralph) Hagen of Minneota, MN, Jerry (Geraldine) Ness of Atwater, MN, and Rich (Millie) Ness of Pelican Rapids; 9 grandchildren: Geoffrey Ihle, Tina Johnson (Corey Hinrichs), Amy Kopperud, Adam Hagen (Jodi Hedstrom), Joel Hagen, Anna (Eric) Tellekson, Jonathan Ness, Rachel (Todd) Oberholtzer and Rebekah Ness (Josh Flemmer); 3 great-grandchildren: Hailee Aletta Johnson, Lauren Nicole Oberholtzer and Owen Jon Flemmer; sister-in-law, Bernice Ness; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.Blessed Be The Memory Of Ella Ness
