Ada Berfield

REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Ada Hulda Thompson was born May 1, 1908, in Maplewood Township, near Pelican Rapids, the daughter of Theodore and Clara (Worden) Thompson. She was baptized at home and in 1928 graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. In February of 1938 Ada was united in marriage to Herbert (James) Berfield in Pelican Rapids with Rev. Ludolf Gjerde officiating. They lived in Erhard, MN, when first married, then moved near Tacoma, Washington for a year before moving to Pelican Rapids. Ada and Herbert owned and operated a pool hall in Erhard. They lived most of their married life in this area. Herbert died on August 5, 1965. On November 1, 2006 Ada entered the Pelican Valley Nursing Home.Ada enjoyed visiting with family and friends.Ada Berfield, age 98, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Friday, November 10, 2006, at Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.Ada is survived by many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Herbert; 7 brothers: Orville, Anton, Edward, Raymond, Rollen, Melvin, and Milton Thompson; and 3 sisters: Laura Thompson, Esther Alverson and Ida Paulson.Blessed Be The Memory Of Ada Berfield
