REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Joseph LeRoy Miller was born September 11, 1932, in Pelican Rapids, MN, the son of Arthur and Emma (Boe) Miller. He grew up in the Pelican Rapids area, graduating in 1951 from Pelican Rapids High School. On December 27, 1952 Joseph was united in marriage to Helen Morton in Detroit Lakes, MN. In 1953 Joe entered the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. After his discharge Joe returned to Pelican Rapids and worked in road construction and also farmed in the area, and in 1979 began dairy farming.Joe's greatest love was his family and spending time with them. He had a great interest in horses. He enjoyed reading and history, fishing and hunting, and playing cards. Joe was a member of Grove Lake Lutheran Church in rural Pelican Rapids.Joe, age 74, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Monday, January 15, 2007, at Innovis Health in Fargo, North Dakota.Joe is survived by his wife, Helen of Pelican Rapids; daughter: Susan (Dan) Shulstad of Pelican Rapids; 2 grandchildren: Joe and Katie; twin brother: Bill (Kay) Miller of Big Timber, Montana; sister: Florence Lakeman of Shelly, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory; and 4 brothers: Ronald, Arland, George, and an infant brother.Blessed Be The Memory Of Joseph "Joe" Miller
