REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Selma Vivian Larson was born January 6, 1928, in Mount Vernon, South Dakota, the daughter of Arthur and Wilma (Rorhig) Larson. In 1945 Sally moved to New York Mills, MN, teaching for many years in rural country schools around Otter Tail County. On May 26, 1946 Selma was united in marriage to Lawrence Fleming in New York Mills. Lawrence and Selma lived in Oregon from 1969 to 1989 where Sally graduated from Oregon State University in Eugene, Oregon, with an education degree. She was a member of the sorority, Delta Kama Gamma. Sally taught fifth grade and was head librarian in John Day, Oregon. In 1989 they moved to Erhard. Lawrence died on August 18, 2003. Sally entered the Good Samaritan Center on August 21, 2004.On Wednesday, March 21, 2007, Sally, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids, at the age 79 years.Sally enjoyed playing cards and board games. She also enjoyed sewing and needlework. Selma was a member of the First Congregational Church in Pelican Rapids.Sally is survived by her son, Terry Fleming of Burns, Oregon; 2 daughters: Linda Sellman of Fergus Falls, MN, and Peggy Honrud of Erhard, MN; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Gibson of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Howard (Pat) Larson of Minneapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; daughter, Susan; great-granddaughter, Stephanie; and brother, Robert.Blessed Be The Memory Of Selma Fleming
