Janette Paulson

Janette Ruth Johnson was born May 12, 1932, in Pelican Rapids, the daughter of Clifford B. and Olpha (Sethre) Johnson. She was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, and later graduated from Fergus Falls High School. On November 4, 1950 Janette was united in marriage to Chester "Chet" Paulson, Jr. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Janette enjoyed being a mom, raising her four children. Chet died on August 11, 1996. On February 3, 2007 Janette entered the Pelican Valley Nursing Home.Janette enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, puzzles, needlework, gardening, and ceramics. Janette was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school, Bible school, a member of the ladies circle, and sang in the choir. She was a bluebird and Cub Scout leader. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, the Good Samaritan Auxiliary, Women's Civic Club, Pelican Rapids Jaycees and Homemakers. Janette also volunteered for Lakeland Hospice.Janette, age 74, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007, at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.Janette is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Aamold of Aubrey, Texas; daughter-in-law, Jaime Paulson of Pelican Rapids; 3 grandchildren: Christopher (Amy) Aamold and their children: Zachary and Noah; Spencer (Amanda) Paulson and their children: Ryley, Chloe, Sophia, Jack; and Jessica (Ralph) Bermea; 2 sisters-in-law: Anna Mae (James) Ruud of Pelican Rapids, and LaVonne Johnson of Apple Valley, MN; brothers-in-law: Allen (Amy) Paulson of Sioux Falls, SD, and Gerald (Marie) Paulson of Fergus Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; and several cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chet; 3 sons: Jeff, Chuck, and Curt; sister, Marilyn Nelson; brother, Robert "Bubs" Johnson; and son-in-law, Bruce Aamold.
