Harvey Arnold Wahl was born June 6, 1920 in rural Erhard, the son of Anton and Helena (Wick) Wahl. He attended District #17 country school east of Erhard. From March 9, 1942 to October 30, 1945 Harvey served in the United States Army during World War II. On May of 1953 Harvey was married to Caroline Peasley in Sisseton, South Dakota. He farmed near Erhard and also worked for Elk River Concrete and the State Hospital, both in Fergus Falls. He later worked for West Central Turkeys, Inc. in Pelican Rapids for many years.Harvey enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He was a member of Tonseth Lutheran Church in rural Erhard, and the V.F.W. Post #5252 in Pelican Rapids.Harvey, age 87, a resident of rural Erhard, Minnesota, died on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Pioneer Retirement Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.Harvey is survived by his son, Delane Wahl of Pelican Rapids; daughter, Barbara (Bill) Kremple of Erhard; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Palmer Nelson of Pelican Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: Duane and David; 1 grandson, Tyler; great-grandson, Jordan Childress Wahl; 5 brothers: Melvin, Oscar, Carl, Arthur, and Kenneth; and 8 sisters: Sophie Gilbertson, Betsy Knobel, Alma Rasmussen, Hilda Sundblad, Olga Klovstad, Alice Klovstad, Ella Nelson and Ethel Hughes.Blessed Be The Memory Of Harvey Wahl
