Mary Emily Kollar was born March 4, 1917, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Amelia (Savel) Kollar. She grew up and attended school near Wolverton, MN. In the early 1930's Mary married George Stach in Wolverton. Later Mary moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she met her future husband. On September 5, 1942 Mary was united in marriage to Fay Dykes in Cleveland. After Fay's death, Mary moved to Fargo, ND, where she worked at St. Lukes Hospital in housekeeping. On May 14, 1982, Mary retired after working in housekeeping for 6 and a half years with Cardiopulmonary Service. Mary also resided in Pelican Rapids, MN, and Lisbon, ND. In April 1997 she was admitted to the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.Mary had many hobbies that she enjoyed that included, dancing, music, crocheting, word puzzles, playing cards, embroidery, quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, bowling, fishing, gardening and bird watching. She also enjoyed entertaining and visiting with family and friends.Mary was a member of Daughters of America and Eastern Star in Cleveland, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Lisbon. Mary attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls, She was an active volunteer with the Red Cross in Cleveland, and "Friends" Organization of Community Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home, serving as vice president.Mary, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.Mary is survived by her son, Rudolph "Rudy/Jake" (Joan) Stock of Fargo, ND; 5 grandchildren: Jody (Dave) Suedel, Dan Stock, Terry (Cindy) Stock, Jill (Barry) Freed and Jana McShurley; 4 great-grandchildren: Shannon Stock, Cami McShurley, Jessica Stock and Christopher Stock; brother, Ernest (Lottie) Kollar of Fergus Falls; 2 sisters: Marlys (Kenneth) Klovstad of Fergus Falls and Margaret Krebs of Wellborn, FL; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: George and Fay; 5 brothers: Andrew, Herman, Edward, Joseph and John; sister, Marcella Hennings, and 2 infant sisters, Lukmelia and Emily.Blessed Be The Memory Of Mary Dykes
