Grace Rogers

Grace Rogers, age 103, a resident of Pelican Rapids, MN, died on Monday, December 31, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Society of Pelican Rapids.Grace Florence Johnson was born November 23, 1904, in Bellview, Minnesota, the daughter of Ollie and Sophie (Klossner) Johnson. The family moved to Pelican Rapids where Grace graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Grace was united in marriage to Donald "Bud" Rogers in St. Paul, MN. She worked at the Pelican Rapids Post Office for numerous years. After her parent's death, Grace owned and operated the Home cafe. In 1938 Bud and his brother, Earl, formed Rogers Brothers' Shows that traveled throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Grace was actively involved with the carnival. Bud died on July 20, 1971. The Rogers Brothers' Shows was sold to Bryon Anderson. In 2001 Grace entered the Good Samaritan Society of Pelican Rapids. Grace enjoyed bowling and was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins. Over the years, she kept journals of her many trips, and also the history of Pelican Rapids. The Pelican Press printed many segments of her journals, called Ramblings from Grace.Grace is survived by her daughter, Pat Dybdahl of Bloomington, MN; granddaughter, Pam Dybdahl of Bloomington, MN; grandson, Bradley Dybdahl of Prior Lake, MN; 2 great-grandchildren: Kurt (Amber) Dybdahl and Brandon Dybdahl; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 8 brothers and sisters; and son-in-law, Adrian.Blessed Be The Memory Of Grace Rogers
