Steven Hagen

Steven Charles Hagen was born on November 12, 1980, in Fargo, ND, the son of David and Lynne (Clements) Hagen. He was baptized and confirmed at Grove Lake Lutheran Church in rural Pelican Rapids. In 1999 Steve graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Steve was married to Andrea Erickson in 1999. From June 16, 1999 to February 13, 2001, he served in the United States Air Force at Ellsworth Air Force Base near Rapid City, South Dakota. Steve married Becky Lepisto in 2006. To this union twins were born, Paige and Joshua.In 2000 Steve was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called Evans Syndrome. He continued to fight complications from Evans Syndrome until his death.Steve enjoyed golfing and watching professional sports, especially basketball and football.On Tuesday, February 5, 2008, Steven "Steve" Hagen, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 27.Steve is survived by his children: Paige Eryjia Hagen and Joshua Eric Hagen of Dilworth; parents, Dave and Lynne of Pelican Rapids; 2 brothers: John (Renae) Hagen of Minot, N.D., and David (J.J.) Hagen, Jr. of Dilworth, MN; grandfather, Clinton Hagen of Pelican Rapids; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey "Jeff" Hagen; grandmother, Ellen Hagen; grandparents, Jeff and Alva Clements; and 2 uncles: Philip Clements and Charles Hagen.
