Evelyn Knudson

Evelyn Beulah Riedberger was born December 20, 1910, in rural Hawley, Minnesota, the daughter of Leonard and Laura Riedberger. She grew up in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1930. On October 1, 1939 Evelyn was united in marriage to Kermit Knudson at the Hawley Lutheran Church. After their marriage, Kermit and Evelyn moved to Pelican Rapids where she worked at Carr and Hanson Department Store selling women's clothing. Later she worked for Riverside Dress Shop in Pelican Rapids. On October 29, 2005 Evelyn entered the Pelican Valley Nursing Home. Kermit died on February 26, 2006.Evelyn was a member of the Ringsaker Lutheran Church and then Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.Evelyn, age 97, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008, at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Mary) Riedberger of Vista, CA; sister-in-law, Eleanor Olsgaard of Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kermit; her baby son who died in 1941; and several brothers and sisters.Blessed Be The Memory of Evelyn Knudson
