Kathryn "Kathy" Paulson, age 66, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Monday, April 7, 2008, at her home in Pelican Rapids.Kathryn Ann Paulson was born February 20, 1942, in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Palmer and Grace (Wells) Paulson. She graduated from Pelican High School in 1960 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, in1965. She was a teacher for several years at Wadena, Starbuck, Vergas and Long Prairie, in Minnesota, and also in Ascutney and Perkinsville, Vermont. Kathy was a social worker for San Joaquin County, Stockton, California, from 1966-1968 and later for Otter Tail County Department of Social Services in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, from 1972-1977. From 1985-1987, she attended Moorhead State University majoring in Mass Communications. Since that time she had done professional writing and editing, including family histories, reunion booklets and newsletters. Her work was published in the Fargo Forum, Midwest Boomers and other regional publications. She edited books written by several local area authors. In the past years, Kathy was active with Habitat for Humanity doing public relations and producing their newsletter. She was an accomplished photographer taking her own pictures for her articles. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids.Kathy is survived by her sister, Mary Lou (Robert) Koth of Lodi, California; a niece, Ann-Marie Koth of Woodbridge, California; and a nephew, Brett Koth of Ladi, California.She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Grace Paulson.Blessed Be The Memory Of Kathryn Paulson
