Neola Bredahl, age 89,aresident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Friday, July 4, 2008, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN.Neola Mae Moen was born on September 30, 1918, in Tumuli Township, near Dalton, MN, the daughter of Peder and Christina (Hegseth) Moen. She attended District #17 rural school near Dalton, and graduated from Washington High School in Fergus Falls. She also attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and Dakota Business College in Fargo, North Dakota. On December 28, 1947 Neola was united in marriage to Joice Red Bredahl in Dalton. Neola was employed as a bookkeeper with Farmers Coop Creamery for ten years, then part-time for Park Region Cooperative, and with the Pelican Rapids school district for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Joice died on December 17, 1975. At the age of 10, Neola became the church organist at Ten Mile Lake. She loved music, playing the piano and singing in choir. In 1937 Neola had the joy of singing in the Concordia choir. Neola volunteered with Meals on Wheels as their treasurer for 20 years. In 1989 she received a Community Service Award. Neola was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the choir, circle #7, and assisting in the church office. She will be remembered for her ability to develop an instant friendship with everyone she met. Neola is survived by her son, Paul of Maple Grove, MN; sister, Thora Lundell of Fergus Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joice; 2 brothers: Palmer and Martin; and 3 sisters: Carrie, Clarice, and infant sister, Mildred.Blessed Be The Memory Of Neola Bredahl
