Ron Konoske, age 61, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Monday, September 29, 2008.Ronald A. Konoske was born January 23, 1947, in Bemidji, Minnesota, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Jackson) Konoske.He attended Carr Lake Country School, Lincoln Elementary School, Bemidji High School (Class of 1965), Oak Hills Bible College, and Northwest Technical College.During his school years he enjoyed working with his dad in carpentry, motorcycling and snowmobiling.On July 26, 1969, Ron was married to Delsie Thiessen in Warroad, Minnesota, at the Woodland Mennonite Church.Ron and Delsie lived in Minneapolis, Bemidji, Montevideo and Pelican Rapids.Ron worked as a machine design draftsman at Donaldson Manufacturing Company, Bloomington (1969-1974), sales associate at Bemidji Fleet Distributors, Bemidji (1974-1977), hardware manager at Affiliated Home Center, Bemidji (1977-1979), and manager at Affiliated Home Center, Montevideo (1979-1980).In 1980, Ron and Delsie moved to Pelican Rapids where he was manager of UBC (1980-1986), missionary at Camp JOY Bible Camp on Star Lake (1987-1989), assembly production technician at Assembly Engineering (1989-2000), and school bus driver with Christianson Bus Company (1990-2000).In 2001, Ron retired due to health reasons.Ron was a member of Pelican Rapids Baptist Church where he served on the trustee board.He was also involved with Adventure Club and Youth Group.Ron enjoyed photography, developing and printing pictures of country churches, old farmsteads, and flowers.He also photographed several weddings and graduation pictures for family and friends.Gardening was another passion, especially growing squash and tomatoes.A pride and joy was the Jack-in-the-Pulpit that bloomed each year.His greatest joy was designing, building and flying model airplanes.He loved going to fun-flies and mall shows. At these meets he entered contests, won many trophies, caught up with old friends and met new ones and exchanged ideas and stories. In the last few years his interest turned toward model railroading.He spent many hours building and creating his train board.Ron will be remembered for his sense of humor.He would often laugh and when you asked him about it, hed say Oh, I just told myself a joke I hadnt heard before!His family lost a prayer warrior who was always there for them.Rons strength was his faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.Ron is survived by his wife, Delsie; daughter, Andrea; brother, Herman; sister-in-law, Joyce; brother and sister-in-law, Art and Delsie; sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and David; nieces:Ashley, Tara, Tanya, Allison, Donna, Cindy, Paula, Diane, and Julie; nephew, Richard Jr; Aunt Pearl; many cousins and friends.Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rich and two infant brothers; and sister, Linda.Blessed Be The Memory Of Ronald "Ron" Konoske
