Sharon Jensen

Sharon Jensen, age 51, a resident of Vergas, Minnesota, died on Monday, March 9, 2009, at her home on East Spirit Lake.Sharon Elaine Kruse was born February 12, 1958, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Luvern and Esther (Matzke) Kruse.Sharon graduated from Pipestone High School in 1976 in Pipestone, Minnesota.Then she attended and graduated from Pipestone Vocational Technical College in Pipestone.In August 1981, Sharon and Charles Chuck Jensen were united in marriage in Brookings, South Dakota.From 1986 to 1999 Sharon and Charles owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Byron, Minnesota.Their life-long dream was to reside on a lake so they moved to East Spirit Lake and purchased the Dairy Queen restaurant in Pelican Rapids in 1999.Sharon and Chuck continued to own and operate the Dairy Queen where Sharon worked until January 2009.Sharon enjoyed fishing, motorcycle trips, and her annual fishing trip to Canada, but most of all she enjoyed family gatherings.Sharon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in the cancer support group.Sharons family was the most important part of her life.She will be remembered for her love of family, her strength and perseverance.Sharon lived her life with optimism.Sharon is survived by her husband, Chuck; sons: Charles (Vicki) Jensen, Jr., New Market, MN, Michael (Jody) Hemmingson, Rochester, MN;daughters: Elizabeth (Peter) Stahnke, Park Rapids, MN, Stephanie (Jason) Harberts, Cottage Grove, MN, Amanda Jensen, Minneapolis, MN; parents, Luvern and Esther Kruse, Pipestone, MN; grandchildren: Allison, Brittany, Lucas, Nicholas, Tyler, Isaac, Grant, Owen, and Marren; three brothers: Duane (Pam) Kruse, Pipestone, MN, Brian (Jill) Kruse, Ellsworth, MN, and Kevin (Kelly) Kruse, Rochester, MN; two sisters: Jill (Richard) Whipple, Pipestone, MN, Lynn (David) Ross, Farmington, MN; two brothers-in-law: David (Charlotte) Jensen, Brooklyn Park, MN, and Loyal Butch (Joyce) Jensen, Spirit Lake, IA; and many nieces and nephews.Memorials preferred to Lakeland Hospice.Blessed Be The Memory Of Sharon Jensen
