Henrietta D. Annis, age 87, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Monday, April 20, 2009, at St. Marys Regional Health Center, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.Henrietta Deemaris Scofield was born December 25, 1921, in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of William and Cora (Gaskill) Scofield.Henrietta graduated from Minot High School in 1939.On August 31, 1940, Henrietta was united in marriage to Everett Annis in Minot, North Dakota.Henrietta worked in housekeeping at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown, North Dakota. Henrietta and Everett owned businesses including the Tastee Freez in Jamestown, North Dakota, and a gas station in Garrison, Minnesota; they also operated the Garrison Country Club.In 1982, Everett died.Henrietta moved to Mill Pond View Apartments in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, in 2006.In 2007, she entered Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids and of the V.F.W. auxiliary in Jamestown.Henrietta enjoyed crafts, bowling and her pet Chihuahuas.She loved to go to the casino and spend time at the lake.She was Everetts hunting and fishing partner. Much of Henriettas time was spent with her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.Henrietta is survived by two daughters: Donna (Brent) Jongeward, Pelican Rapids, MN, and Corriene Corky (Mike) Beyer, Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; daughter, DeeMaris McCarty; infant son, Everett Thomas, Jr.; and parents, William and Cora Scofield.Blessed Be The Memory Of Henrietta Annis
