Myrna Runningen

Myrna Runningen, age 84, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.Myrna Lucille Erickson was born October 19, 1924, near Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert P. and Clara (Peterson) Erickson.Myrna graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1943.On November 26, 1944, she was united in marriage with Clifford Runningen in Pelican Rapids.She worked at Wright Memorial Hospital in Fergus Falls, Lodins Ben Franklin in Pelican Rapids, and Carr & Hansons Department Store also located in Pelican Rapids.Myrna worked at West Central Turkey Manufacturing in Pelican Rapids for 27 years.Myrna entered the Good Samaritan Pelican Rapids in August of 2003.Myrna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the church circle, and the quilting group.She was also a member of the Pelican Rapids V.F.W. Auxiliary.She enjoyed flower gardening, knitting, quilting, needlework, and walking.Myrna especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.Myrna is survived by her husband, Clifford; two sons: Tom, and Wayne (Melanie) Runningen, all of Pelican Rapids; four grandchildren: Ria and Beau Runningen, Mya (Ben) Nicholls, and Megan (Todd) Langseth; three great-grandchildren: Tegan and Taya Nicholls, and Taylor Langseth; four brothers: Amos (Marlene) Erickson, Glasgow, Montana, Don Erickson, Detroit Lakes, MN, Randy (Pat) Erickson, Pelican Rapids, and Earnest (Shirley) Erickson; one sister, Delores (Fred) Haugrud, Barnesville, MN; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Art and Clifford; and sisters: Alice Cobb and Clarice Peterson.Blessed Be The Memory Of Myrna Runningen
