Dianne Wieland, age 60, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota. Dianne Margaret Bailey was born December 30, 1948, in Everett, Washington, the daughter of Robert L. and Rita (Adkins) Bailey.Dianne was raised by her beloved parents, Rita and Clifford Beyer.She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks, North Dakota.In 1966, she graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in Minot, North Dakota. She attended Business College for bookkeeping in 1975, in Denver, Colorado.She worked as a bookkeeper in Colorado. Dianne moved to the Fargo area where she worked for the Clay County Auditors Office for ten years while continuing her education at Moorhead Technical College.On June 16, 1990, Dianne was united in marriage to Edgar Wieland at Lutheran Church of the Cross in West Fargo.In 1997, they moved to Lake Lida in Pelican Rapids. She worked at the Otter Tail Treasurers Office for ten years.Dianne took a leave of absence from her job in March 2008 due to illness.Dianne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids.She enjoyed sewing, quilting, needle point, canning, fishing, and camping. Dianne loved spending time with her grandchildren; sharing her interests and hobbies with each of them.She had a passion for children; she was a foster mom to twenty-two children.Dianne is survived by her husband, Edgar; her children:Matthew Gurley, Sterling, VA, Randy (Tara) Wieland, West Fargo, ND, Christopher (Shelly) Wieland, Moorhead, MN, and Daniel (Amy) Wieland, Fargo, ND; her mother, Rita Beyer, Fargo, ND; six grandchildren:Alyssa, Erica, Calie, Hailee, Brooklyn, and Ben; two brothers:Robert (Becky) Bailey, Erskine, MN, and Mark Beyer, Mapleton, ND; sister, Betty (Chuck) Markee, Dilworth, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Bailey; her step-father, Clifford Beyer; and daughter, Bonita Widhalm.Blessed Be The Memory Of Dianne Wieland
