Lois Heden, age 80, a resident of Detroit Lakes, formerly of Audubon, Minnesota, died on Sunday, January 3, 2010, in Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.Lois Virginia Senn was born April 22, 1929, in Pelican Rapids, MN the daughter of Clarence and Alice (Olson) Senn.Lois graduated from Pelican Rapids High School and then attended Moorhead State University for two years.After receiving her teaching degree Lois taught school in Evansville, MN for 3 years.Lois was united in marriage with Erwin Thorson on August 18, 1950.Lois and Erwin had four children together.Erwin died on October 10, 1973.On May 7, 1977 Lois was united in marriage with Olai Heden.They resided on Leaf Lake near Audubon where Olai continues to reside.Lois entered the Emmanuel Nursing Home July of 2004.Lois was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church where she was active in the church circle.Lois had a green thumb, especially with flower gardening. She enjoyed fishing for walleyes, watching birds, and being outdoors.She will also be remembered for being a great hostess of her huge family gatherings.Lois is survived by her husband, Olai Heden, Audubon; two sons: David (Marsha) Thorson, Erhard, MN, and Donald Thorson, Detroit Lakes, MN; two daughters: Linda (Chuck) Ohm, Pelican Rapids, and Elaine Thorson, Detroit Lakes; two stepchildren: Doyle (Lois) Heden, Buxton, ND, and Ernest Heden, Audubon; eight grandchildren: John (Nicole) Thorson, Sarah (Kevin) Nehk, Amy (Jason) Hasling, Greg Thorson, Kenny Thorson, Jason Ohm, and Kayla Ohm (Mitch Mehrer), and Tom Ohm; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and cousins.Lois was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Alice; husband, Erwin Thorson; infant sister, Phyllis; brother, Charles, and grandson, James.Blessed Be The Memory Of Lois Heden
