Meranda Peterson, 91, of Pelican Rapids, went home with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2010.She died at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.Meranda Clarice Nelson was born August 10, 1918, the daughter of Anton and Hilda (Holen) Nelson.She was baptized and confirmed at Grove Lake Lutheran Church.She attended school in rural Pelican Rapids.On September 10, 1940, Meranda was united in marriage to Byron Sillerud.Following Byrons death in 1970, she married Wilhelm Peterson on June 26, 1974.Meranda was a member of North Immanuel Lutheran Church.She was active in Ladies Aide, Circle and taught Sunday school.She enjoyed baking, quilting, handiwork, dancing, fishing, entertaining and spending time with her family.Her gift of hospitality and her classy style always made her guests feel special and at home!She is survived by her husband, Wilhelm; one son, Wayne (Glenna) Sillerud ofGoodyear, Arizona; two daughters: Joyce (Bruce) Hain of Glendale, Arizona, and Renee (Walter) Fuchs of Pelican Rapids; 7 grandchildren:Steven Sillerud, Jill (Larry) Rennaker, Jesse Sillerud, Roger (Tonya) Hain, Lisa (Brent) Utley, Amber Fuchs, Andrew Fuchs; 8 great-grandchildren: Erik Sillerud, Lacy Sillerud, Ashton Hain, Landon Hain, Jake Nottingham, Cody Neuman, Sheilah Utley, and Hendrix Utley; and many nieces and nephews.Meranda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byron; her son, Roger; and was the last of6siblings: Alice Skunberg, Junette Fjeld, Doris Sunram, Howard Nelson, Lawrence Nelson, and baby sister, Gladys Nelson.Blessed Be The Memory Of Meranda Peterson
