Ruby Linder, age 96, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society of Pelican Rapids.Ruby Ann Graham was born December 11, 1913, in Crary, North Dakota, the daughter of Ott and Alma (Osborne) Graham. After graduating from Crary High School, Ruby worked for several years at the County Agents office in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Ruby moved to Fargo, North Dakota, where she was a civil service employee at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service office for ten years. In August 1948, Ruby was united in marriage to Fred M. Linder. They made their home in Pelican Rapids. Fred preceded Ruby in death on December 31, 1969.Ruby worked as a deputy clerk for the Village of Pelican Rapids for several years, as parish secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church for 12 years, and as parish secretary for North Immanuel Lutheran Church for 33 years. In order to not take up valuable space at the church for Sunday school classes, Rubys office was at her home. She liked it when her driveway was full with people stopping by her office. In 2001, Ruby was the guest of honor at the National Conference for Church Secretaries at Concordia College in Moorhead. During her church secretary years, Ruby had the opportunity to work with dozens of ministers, some of whom later served as bishop in the Lutheran Church.Ruby enjoyed sharing memories of working alongside her papa on the family farm.She always spoke with terms of endearment about her late husband, Fred, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, hardly missing a televised game.Ruby was a member of North Immanuel Lutheran Church and its womens organizations.In 2007, Ruby made a contribution to North Immanuel Lutheran Church to establish a post-secondary education scholarship in her name.Ruby is survived by cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ott and Alma; husband, Fred; and sister, Eula.Blessed Be The Memory Of Ruby Linder
