Charles Chapman

Charles "Chuck" Chapman, age 87, a resident of Dent, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society of Pelican Rapids under the care of Lakeland Hospice of Fergus Falls.Charles Oscar Chapman was born March 5, 1924, in Star Lake Township, Minnesota, the son of James and Laura (Jenne) Chapman. Chuck attended Country School District 137. He was a livestock farmer all his life; he also cut and sold wood. On September 30, 1951, Chuck was united in marriage to Thelma Ellingson at Maine Presbyterian Church in Underwood, Minnesota. They raised their children on the family farm; living there together nearly 60 years.Chuck enjoyed hunting and trapping. He especially took great pleasure in hunting and fishing with his grandchildren, many nephews, friends, and neighbors.Chuck is survived by his wife, Thelma Chapman, Dent, MN; daughter, Judy (Brian) Johnson, Pelican Rapids, MN; grandchildren: Jacob, Mitchell, and Christa; sister, Ada Veazie, Kalama, WA; cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
