Paul Sundby

Paul Arden Sundby, age 54, a resident of Vergas, Minnesota died, Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.Paul was born March 17, 1957 in Pelican Valley Hospital, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, the son of William and Elaine (Toso) Sundby. He graduated from Rothsay High School in 1975. Paul worked and was a bulk truck driver at the I-94 Mobil and Danielson Oil in Rothsay, MN, for several years. He drove a charter bus for Red River Trails out of Moorhead, MN. After driving charter bus Paul worked as a truck driver for Johnson Farms, Walhalla, ND, and for Valley Express, Fargo, ND. Since 1995 he has owned and operated the Yak Shak, Vergas, MN and taught kayaking classes at Moorhead State. For numerous years he has also worked for area farmers.Paul enjoyed woodworking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, scuba diving and snowmobiling.He is survived by his mother, Elaine Sundby, Rothsay, MN; brothers: Roger Sundby, Rothsay, MN; Jon Sundby, Moorhead, MN, and Eric (Cindy) Sundby, Vergas, MN; nieces: Bridget (Todd) Jackson, Fargo, ND; and Amanda Sundby, Moorhead, MN.Paul was preceded in death by his father: Rodney Sundby; his grandparents and uncle Dewey.Service: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012, at New Life Lutheran Church, Rothsay, MN.Funeral Home:Larson Funeral Home304 3rd Street S.E.Pelican Rapids, MNUS 56572
