Hilda S Peterson

Hilda Peterson, age 98, died on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Pelican Valley Nursing Home, Pelican Rapids, MN. Hilda Huseby was born February 10, 1915 near Pelican Rapids, the daughter of Ole Bernard Huseby and Amine (Pederson) Huseby. She was baptized and confirmed in Pelican Valley Church and attended school near Pelican Rapids. In 1938 she married Stanley Peterson in South Dakota. They farmed near Pelican Rapids until 1968, when they moved to Pelican Rapids. Hilda had numerous cleaning jobs including at Dunvilla, Oak Lodge and the Baptist Church. Stanley died in l984. She entered Pelican Valley Nursing Home in January, 2013. Hilda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its circles and ladies aid. She enjoyed taking care of her family and get-togethers with family and friends. She enjoyed music, especially country, and watching CMT and TNN.Hilda is survived by son David Peterson, Pelican Rapids; granddaughter Tiffany (Boyd) Schleske, Fergus Falls, MN; two great-grandsons: Michael and Dylan Schleske; daughter-in-law Jackie Peterson of Detroit Lakes, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley, sons: Allan Peterson and Dale Peterson; brother Harry Huseby, and sisters: Ella Haiby, Myrtle Johnson and Alice Mostue.Visitation: Monday, July 22, 2013, 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, MNClergy: Pastor Laurie Skow-AndersonBurial: Ringsaker Cemetery, Rural Pelican Rapids, MN Funeral Home: Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MinnesotaOnline Guestbook: www.larsonfuneralpelicanrapids.comOrganist: Mimi UhrigSoloist: Richard Rollie
