Jayme Rion Honrud

Jayme Honrud, age 15, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, in an automobile accident near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Jayme Rion Honrud was born May 19, 1998, in Fergus Falls, MN, the son of Steve Michael Honrud and Amy Mae Shultz. He has lived all of these years in Erhard. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, MN. Jayme attended Pelican Rapids High School where he would have been a sophomore this year. This summer he found a job at the Galaxie Supper Club in Barnesville washing dishes, where he was a model employee, always to work on time, and willing to go the extra mile. Jayme was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, MN. He enjoyed go-karting and won several trophies over the years. If it involved camouflage Jayme was there; hunting and fishing made him the happiest. One of his favorite fishing spots was the Zimmerman Slough. His hunting buddies included his dad and Uncle Jerry. He had the "Honrud Ornery Streak" in him, where he would hound you until he got what he wanted. For several years he enjoyed playing basketball at school. Jayme loved his sister and brothers, he and Brittany were very similar in personality and both enjoyed taking risks. He looked up to his older sister. Jayme always had a competition going with his brother Tyler. He loved playing with his little brothers who are going to miss Jayme playing with them and taking them on four-wheeler rides. He is survived by his dad and step mom, Steve and Tonya Honrud, Erhard, MN; mom Amy Loerzel-Shultz, Barnesville, MN; sister Brittany Honrud, West Fargo, ND; brothers: Tyler, Michael, and Ben Honrud; grandparents: Debbie & Jerry Shultz, Wadena, MN; Mike (Cy Grover) Honrud, Fergus Falls, MN; Allen and Barb Gerdes, Villard, MN; great grandma, Ruth Honrud, Erhard, MN; uncle Jerry Shultz, Dent, MN; great uncle Gary Honrud, Erhard, MN. Jayme was preceded in death by his grandma Peggy Honrud; great grandparents Selma & Lawrence Fleming; great uncle Tim Honrud.
