Ronald Edward Berg was born March 8, 1943 in Anoka MN, the son of Jack and Elsie (Waldeen) Berg. In 1961, Ronald graduated from Anchorage High School in Alaska. After high school, Ron attended Purdue University graduating with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Then he attended the University of Utah earning his Master's degree in Business Administration. On November 23, 1968 Ronald was united in marriage to Dianne Swanson in Big Lake, MN. For 13 years Ron was employed with Dow Chemical in Midland, Michigan as a marketing analyst. After his employment with Dow Chemical, Ron worked as an engineer in Minnesota. Ronald and Dianne moved to Pelican Rapids where Ron was employed until 2009 at Sunrise Machine & Tool in Detroit Lakes. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, tying flies and downhill skiing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ronald was a unique sports fan cheering for both Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers.
