Rosetta Faye Hexum

Rosetta Faye Hexum, age 80, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Pelican Valley Health Center, Pelican Rapids, MN. Rosetta Faye Hexum was born on April 10, 1933 in Page, ND the daughter of Clifford and Elfrieda (Ludeman) Senn. She was baptized at First Congregational Church of Christ in Pelican Rapids. In 1951 Rosetta graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Then she received her LPN training from Miller Hospital in St. Paul. On September 18, 1954, Rosetta was united in marriage to Elroy Hexum at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids. After their marriage Rosetta worked for Dr. William Hartfield in St. Paul until 1957. Rosetta and Elroy moved to Pelican Rapids where she worked with Dr. Korda for many years. Rosetta also worked for Pelican Valley Health Center and later the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids. After raising her family, Rosetta assisted her husband, Elroy, at the Hexum Animal Clinic in Pelican Rapids. She worked for Evenson Brothers Trucking Inc. in Pelican Rapids for 8 years but due to health reasons she had to retire.Rosetta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, ladies aid, and the church circle.Rosetta enjoyed bowling, fishing, and camping. One of her biggest joys was visiting with family, friends and grandchildren. Rosetta would always bring the best out of people.Rosetta is survived by her husband, Elroy of Pelican Rapids, MN; children: Denise (Mike) Magnusson, Pelican Rapids, MN, Paul (Joni) Hexum, Madison, WI, Carol (Dan) Grabow, Minneapolis, MN; 7 grandchildren: (Denise and Mike's) Brent (Jillian) Magnusson, Angie Magnusson, and Rachael Magnusson, (Paul and Joni's) Kaitlin Hexum and Nickolas Hexum, (Carol and Dan's) Charlie Grabow and Ellie Grabow; sisters: Loretta (Ron) Welch, San Jose, CA, Isabella Mavis, Clancy, MT, Joann (Al) Spencer, Richfield, MN and Patricia (Jerry) Sheldon, Fargo, ND; brother, Paul (Kates) Senn, Great Falls, MT: sisters-in-law: Ila Senn & Eileen Wilson, and numerous nieces and nephews.Rosetta is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clifford Senn Jr. and brother-in-law, Willis Mavis. Visitation: Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.
