Eddie Erickson

Eddie Lloyd Erickson, age 57, a resident of Pelican Rapids, died on Friday September 19, 2014 at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.Eddie Lloyd Erickson was born October 9th 1956 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Lloyd and Marjorie (Motschenbacher) Erickson. Eddie grew up in Pelican Rapids, MN and was a member of the class of 1975. After high school Eddie spent some time working for Eddie Velo of Rothsay, MN and also West Central Turkeys in Pelican Rapids. In 1975 Eddie was united in marriage with his first wife, Nancy Arntson. They had two boys, Kenneth and Derrick. Eddie worked a few various jobs including road construction. He was united in marriage with Patricia (Perrin) Erickson in 1983 and they moved to Pensacola Florida where they lived for a year and a half. Eddie and Patty had two girls Alishia and Kelly. From 1996 to 2005, Eddie owned and operated Lakes Area Construction. One of his most memorable projects was building his log cabin on Lake Lizzie with the help of family and friends. Eddie spent the last 15+ years driving truck and presently working for OLR Transportation in West Fargo, ND.Eddie enjoy hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and hanging out with family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughters and grandkids.Eddie is survived by his daughter, Alishia (Tony) Anderson with their children: Jackson, Jada and Jace of Fergus Falls and daughter, Kelly (Darin) Roehl with their daughter Emma of Fergus Falls; former wife, Patricia Erickson, Pelican Rapids; sons: Kenny Fechtner and Derrick Fechtner; mother Marjorie Erickson of Pelican Rapids; brothers: Bill (Bonnie) Erickson of Fargo, ND, Bob (Adela) Erickson of Pelican Rapids, Richard (Missy) Erickson of Vergas, Greg (Debbie) Erickson of Rothsay, and Brad (Sage) Erickson of Pelican Rapids; sisters: Carol (Lenny) Treinen of Pelican Rapids, Sherry (Scott) Sims of Pelican Rapids and Lori (Jeff) Booth of Dent; uncle, Ardean (Debbie) Erickson, aunt, Maxine Schmidt, great-aunt, Marian Steen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd and grandparents, Eddie and Louise Erickson & Walter and Viola Motschenbacher.Visitation: Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, MN and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, MNClergy: Pastor Philip A.
