Judith "Judy" Pederson

Judith Pederson, age 61, a resident of St. Michael, MN, and former resident of Pelican Rapids, MN died on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, MN. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, MN with Rev. Philip A. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Ringsaker Cemetery, rural Pelican Rapids, MN. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Larson Funeral Home in Pelican Rapids with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also continue for one hour prior to the service. Judith Marie Dennis was born on September 4, 1953 to Raymond Clarence and Joyce Helen (Strand) Dennis in Rolla, ND. She grew up in Thorne, North Dakota, Hendrum, MN, Perley, MN, and Buxton, ND, settling in Pelican Rapids in 1969. She graduated from high school in Pelican Rapids. She married Lyle Raymond Pederson ten days following graduation in 1971. They made their home in Pelican Rapids for many years. Judy operated a home daycare for several years, and then she was employed as a cook at the Pelican Rapids High School. She was also co-owner of Service Master with her husband Lyle. They moved to St. Michael, MN in 2006, where Judy loved her grandchildren and taught them values that only a Grandmother can. Judy enjoyed traveling and vacationing. She loved spending time camping and going to the lake. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Playing cards was also a favorite past time. She loved her dogs Prince and Molly. Judy is survived by her husband Lyle, St. Michael, three children: Aaron (Karen) Pederson, Pelican Rapids, Ryan (Tara) Pederson, Albertville, MN, Michele Pederson, St. Michael, MN, six grandchildren: Alaina Pederson, Alex Pederson, Danica Pederson, Tara Motz, Trent Motz, Trisha Nord-Motz, two siblings: Charles (Marsha) Dennis, Menahga, MN, and Steven Dennis, Pelican Rapids, and several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Joyce Dennis, brother Michael Dennis, and sister in law Faye Dennis.
