Shirley Irey

Shirley Lorraine (Ishaug-Toso) Irey, age 86, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Pelican Valley Health Care Center, Pelican Rapids, MN surrounded by her family.Shirley Lorraine Ishaug was born October 20, 1928 to Melvin and Nora (Stephenson) Ishaug in Barnesville, MN. She was educated and lived in Otter Tail County her entire life.Shirley was united in marriage to Lloyd Toso in May 1949. They made their home in Carlisle, MN and later Pelican Rapids, MN. In April 1963, she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Irey and they resided in Pelican Rapids. Shirley was a longtime member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, was part of Church Circle, Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday school. She was active in the Pelican Rapids community and enjoyed, cooking, baking and music, especially playing piano with Al Siegle and friends.Shirley is survived by her daughter Diane (Craig) Toso-Larson, Fargo, ND, sons: Dale( Deb) Toso, Emporia, KS and Scott (Karen) Irey, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Chelsea Toso, Fargo, ND and Justin Toso, Emporia KS; granddogs: Gussie, Molly, Bella and Harley; brothers: Robert (Betty) Ishaug, Barnesville, MN, Douglas (Jerry) Ishaug, Comstock, MN, Ordean (Maureen) Ishaug, La Grange, IL; sisters-in-law: Sandy Irey, Marion Maxwell, Joan Ishaug and Dorothy Hanson; and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd and Bob; brothers: Percy, Harley and Virgil. Memorials preferred to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church or Lakeland Hospice.Visitation: Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.
