Lucille Adeline (Rask) Rotz, age 92, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at Pelican Valley Health Center in Pelican Rapids, MN.Lucille Adeline Rask was born June 26, 1923 in Chaseley, ND, to Severt and Lula Mae (Flanders) Rask. She graduated in 1941 from Sykeston High School in Sykeston, ND. Then in 1946 she passed a teachers exam in Fessenden, ND teaching for a short time before her marriage.On September 25, 1946 Lucille was united in marriage to George Leslie Rotz in St. Cloud, MN. They made their home on a farm in Carrington, ND after their marriage. In 1960 they moved to Monticello, MN then in 1967 moved to Pelican Rapids where they farmed and milked cows until they retired in 1976. During their retirement they enjoyed traveling south in their motorhome. After George's death in 1990, she stayed on the farm until December, 14, 2013 when she entered the assisted living in Pelican Rapids.She enjoyed traveling, gardening, flowers, mowing the lawn, canning fruits, vegetables and meats, sewing and crafted some beautiful embroidery. She loved North Dakota, her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Les (Nancy) Rotz, Pelican Rapids, MN, Linda (Gordy) Yager, Monticello, MN, Steve (Cheryl) Rotz, Erhard, MN, Cathy (Jerry) Schwoboda, Detroit Lakes, MN, Judy Rotz, East Grand Forks, MN, and Cindy (Steve) Bigelow, Dalton, MN; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; brothers: Harlan (Betty), Laurel (Bonnie), Chester (Joan) and Larry (Patty); and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, sister, Margaret (William) Linhart, and brothers, Charles (Verdella), Elwood (Della) and Virgil. Visitation: Monday, August 10, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.
