Dora Mostue, age 97, of Pelican Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Dora Mathilda Rust was born on November 17, 1918 to Hans and Aletta (Severson) Rust in Gary, MN. She was baptized in Gary and confirmed at Grove Lake Church. She attended country school near Grove Lake. As a young woman she worked for a number of families in the area. On September 29, 1940, Dora was united in marriage to Vernon Mostue in Pelican Rapids. They resided in Pelican Rapids their entire married life. After her children grew up, she began working for the hospital in Pelican Rapids. She was proud to have worked 25 years in the laundry department retiring at the age of 70. Dora loved having company and the coffee pot was always ready. She spent many hours doing embroidery work and crocheting; sharing her crafts with family and friends. A clean and orderly home was an important value of Dora's. First and foremost was her love of family and supporting her children, grandchildren, and all of her family through their lives. Dora is survived by daughter Betty (LeRoy) Rheault, West Fargo, ND, son Arlan (Sylvia) Mostue, Fargo, ND, seven grandchildren: Jennifer (David) Blagg, Yankton, SD, Lynn (Greg) Schroeder, Lake Park, MN, Ann Malstrom, West Fargo, ND, Scott (Brook) Mostue, Excelsior, MN, Ryan Mostue, Denver, CO, Sherri Cote, Fargo, ND, Mark (Karman) Rheault, Moorhead, MN, 13 great grandchildren: EmaLee, Heide, and Mattie Blagg, Michael and Matthew Schroeder, Gavin and Jaden Mostue, Nick (Ereesha) Hoadley, Amber and Brandon Cote, Syler, Caiden, and Zenna Rheault, 4 great great grandchildren: Rory and Ayden, and Liam and Claire, sisters in law Lois Mostue, Appleton, WI, Marna Mostue, Denver, CO, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon on January 5, 2009, her parents, brothers: Orlando, Henry, Arthur, and Elmer Rust, sisters Edna Bakken and Frances Huseby.
