Adeline Bauman

Adeline Bauman, 79, of Erhard, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids, MN. Adeline Evalina Nelsen was born on July 27, 1936 to Arthur and Vivian (Abbott) Nelsen in Big Fork, MN. She graduated in 1953 from Underwood High School. She attended teacher training and taught for a short time. She was united in marriage on September 6, 1954 to Dennis Verney Bauman at Stavanger Church. To this union three children were born. During their first years of marriage they lived around Pelican Rapids. During these years she cooked in several restaurants around Erhard and Pelican Rapids. After settling in Erhard, she worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She went to cook at her mother's caf Vivian's. After Vivian's Caf she continued cooking at several local restaurants and was very popular. Adeline was a tremendous pastry cook. She seemed to always be cleaning and organizing. She sewed for many years. Adeline loved to go camping with her family and spend time at the family lake lot. They also belonged to a snowmobile club for many years. Adeline was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 15 and survived this debilitating disease for 65 years. Adeline is survived by her husband Dennis, Erhard, MN, three children: Greg (Vicki) Bauman, Hickson, ND, Denise (Bob) Hendrickx, Fergus Falls, MN, Leigh Bauman, Lake Mills, IA; 8 grandchildren: Amity (Jeremy) Johnson, Tyler Bauman, Nicolaas (Renee) Hendrickx, Greta (Matthew) Caucutt, Philip (Tiffany) Hendrickx, Anthony Bauman, Brandahlyn Bauman, Brecstan Bauman; 11 great-grandchildren: Abigail, Reed, Crosby Johnson, Hudson, Dawson, and Taelynn Hendrickx, Viviana and Levi Caucutt, Eman, Teddy and Lennon Bauman; sister: Joyce (Vincent) Sindt, Denver CO, several nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
